GENDER AND SEXUAL MINORITIES AS A CLIENT GROUP

There is no such thing as a uniform clientele – know-how equals knowledge and understanding

Client service work is all about meeting different people and you need no additional products or services to take this diversity into account. The only thing you need to do is to let go of your personal assumptions and stereotypes. Hardly ever is service bad on purpose, it is usually just a case of lacking knowledge. The real challenge is to give up hetero normative ideas.

Good service is based on respecting individuality and uniqueness. In practice this means investing in the development of general service models and personnel. In order to take diverse clients into account, you need the determination to develop the know-how of your personnel and the service attitudes of the whole organisation.

We at MyBusiness Solutions provide professional training and consulting services relating to issues of gender and sexual minorities, service production and the effects of equality legislation in public service production.

The queer/gay training events are organised in co-operation with MyWay Solutions’s QLife travel service that provides services for domestic and foreign queer travellers.

We offer client-oriented training events for, for instance:

  • service and travel service providers
  • professionals in the fileds of welfare and health
  • service providers in the fields of culture and education

Training events are meant for, for instance:

  • staff or other employees working directly with clients
